This little animation shows the three layers of the xanalogical model: the content layer, represented by the pool of stable media; the presentation layer, represented by the floating "pages" of transcluded material; and the connection layer, represented by the links that point "through" the presentation layer to the stable media layer beneath.

The xanalogical model, or at least my interpretation/implementation of it, is built around a separation of networked documents into three elements: content, presentation, and connection.

CONTENT is the fixed, stable media in the network: text, images, audiovisual recordings, etc. I'll refer to this content collectively as PRIMEDIA.

PRESENTATION is the way that the primedia is arranged, styled and displayed to the reader[1]. Presentation is specified by DOCUMENTS.

CONNECTIONS are abstract relationships between documents and primedia, and are expressed by LINKS.

The world of xanalogical hypertext is rich with jargon and neologism, as you will soon learn if you continue reading this web of documents. Ted is a gifted neologist, and he's been advocating this model and methodology for sixty years, coining new terms all along the way. It's fun! Get into it. I embrace Ted's lexicon and will make very little effort to genericize the terminology in the interest of making it more accessible.
